India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani has planned to launch their next-generation JioPhone ‘Jio Phone Next’. Jio has actually taken the ‘Next” step for their smartphone platform by associating with the American giant Google. The new phone which is developed in partnership with Google is said to be the cheapest smartphone not only in India but also in the world.

According to an Indian firm, Google invested ₹33,737 crores in the Indian company, giving the global tech giant a 7.7% stake in Jio.

The phone, which is “powered by extremely optimized Android” mobile operating system, will support the entire suite of apps from Google and Jio as well as the Android Play Store along with an optimized version of Android.

The company has not revealed much about the new smartphone, but they shared the image of the Jio Phone Next during the Reliance AGM.

The expectation is already high from Jio as the JioPhone Next is aimed at helping roughly 300 million users in India who are still on the 2G network upgrade their gadgets to access faster networks.

JioPhone Next

JioPhone Next will be available from 10 September ahead on the festive season in the country, and will eventually be made available outside of India.

Jio Phones earlier also provided with unlimited calling (starting from ₹49 a month) and with some useful features like occasionally listening to songs, browsing the internet, WhatsApp, watching tv, and many more, which made Jio phone a very good choice among people.

So it is expected that this JioPhone Next will possibly become popular among the people of India. Also, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said the company has also entered into a 5G cloud partnership with Jio Platforms, which will help more than a billion Indians connect to faster and better internet.

JioPhone Next will be also equipped with a fast, high-quality camera that will support HDR, and the phone will be protected by the latest Android releases and security updates.

You will have the phone with internal storage of 4GB, expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card, and both Qualcomm and China-based Spreadtrum are said to be making processors for the phone.

Not much has been revealed yet, but some things are for sure… like affordability, because it’s a Jio product and it will be a feature-packed product due to association with Google.
